Synopsis
The Marquis de Merteuil has made a little wager with her friend the Vicomte Valmont: seduce her cousin, the young fragile Cecile de Volange who is engaged to Merteuil’s former lover. But the Vicomte has his sights set on a bigger conquest, the pious Tourvel who is known for her virtuousness and impenetrability. Once the wheels of the seduction are in motion, there’s no turning back on this emotional rollercoaster of lust and deception.
Written by a French military strategist, Dangerous Liaisons is glimpse into the mind of two people at war with virtue, with a taste for pleasure regardless of the consequences.
