Past present and future all blur to create one sweet and haunting portrait at the end of an era. Three sisters survive their father’s passing, abandoned in a remote provincial village and army post. They are faced with difficult questions everyday… what does it mean to belong to a dying society, to be alone in a room full of strangers, and to only hope to go back where you feel like you belong? This is something only sisters can share.
Olga, Masha, Irina, and their step-sister Natalya are forever bound to each other in this play that celebrates not only the birth of modern theater, but the artistic achievements of Anton Chekov, one of Russia’s greatest writers.
