ANNOUNCING AUDITIONS FOR THREE SISTERS
playing April 20-May 20, 2012
Spark is hosting auditions for its Spring 2012 production of Three Sisters. Auditions will be held Sunday, December 11th from 7-10pm with callbacks Monday, December 12, 2025 from 7-10pm. Needed are 4 women age 18-40 for this non-traditional staging and adaptation. This production will by guided and edited by Spark Artistic Director, Michael Emmitt.
Please prepare 1 monologue appropriate for the show (19th century or later) and be prepared to read from the script. Audition requests and questions can be sent to Michael: [email protected]
Characters:
Olga - The eldest sister, a school teacher and the guiding light for this sinking ship.
Masha - The middle girl, married, practical, can’t make herself fit into the society where she doesn’t belong.
Irina - The youngest, impressionable and sweet, has the least power of resistance against the encroaching world.
Natalya - A sister by marriage. As the play goes on her meek and awkward manner slowly takes over the house.
